Chianti

(in Italy > Toscana)

Worth visiting!

Chianti is Wonderful...

This is just how I envisioned Italy. We went to Chianti in the offseason, so it wasnt the warmest weather, but it was so beautiful, quiet and uncrowded..although I am not sure that Chianti gets crowded..Radda was great, as was this tiny town called San Guzmo, where we had one of the best meals ever. The food and wine was to die for..the best that we have had on our journey through Europe..well, Greece was good too..Definitely, go here, before it becomes like Venice!

Bellagio

Worth visiting!

No, I didnt see George Clooney..

I thought Bellagio was beautiful, but it didnt seem authentic Italy to me, as much as Chianti did. It was a world different. Bellagio, is quite shi shi, and caters mostly to the tourists, so if you are looking to discover the real Italy, this wouldnt be the place to come. (unless you get out of town and into the village a little bit more)If you are looking for a beautiful place to visit, and dont need to see the Italian Culture uncovered and raw, this is your place…

Sankt Gallen

Worth visiting!

quaint city

I am living here briefly and really like it alot. It is a small city/large town, but there is plenty to occupy me. There are some quaint towns in the area as well, some of which I havent seen yet, but I plan too..

Sapsucker Woods

Worth visiting!

a nice retreat..

Luckily, Sapsucker Woods is basically my backyard and has been for the last year and a half. it is a great place to walk the trails around the ponds, and in the winter, you can even cross country ski there. It is a nice escape and is beautiful, even on the dreariest of days.

Cafe Besalu

Worth visiting!

Ginger Biscuits..

Cafe Besalu is the type of cafe I dream of opening one day. It is small, but it pumps out some of the best pastries in Seattle. I personally love the ginger biscuits and have been trying to recreate them myself, since I am not in Seattle at the moment, but I have yet to perfect that perfect flaky melt in your mouth texture..I guess I will have to wait until I return to experience it again.

Cafe Juanita

Worth visiting!

good good food

This may be a little outside Seattle, but Cafe Juanita is one of the best restaurants around, by far. If you are looking for Northern Italian Cuisine and a creative menu with to die for food, this is the place…

Yellowstone National Park

Worth visiting!

Untitled

Yellowstone is definitely one of the most amazing places that I have ever seen. I hear that it is going downhill due to all the toursits and traffic these days, which is extremely sad. I had never seen how it was before, so I had no reference point with which to compare. It was beautiful. avoid the west entrance though, unless you want to feel like you are in Vegas. it is simply a disgrace. Luckily, once you pass through the gates, you leave all the glitz behind. The thermal pools and gurgling mud pits made this place extra amazing for me, not to mention the wildlife. go there!!!
