The Glory Hole

My favorite piece of art is the painting I purchased from the Usher Art Gallery! It’s a beautiful replica painting of the Glory Hole in 1860. To think that there are so many places in the world with so much history, it really amazes me! Even more mind blowing is that I was actually standing in this quaint historical location! This place isn’t known to the entire world, but to a select few of us, who can appreciate something so beautiful off the beaten path!!

London

Worth visiting!

London

From Big Ben to St. Paul’s, From Nelson’s Column to The Tower of London, From Birdcage Walk to The Tower Bridge, From standing with Beefeaters to watching the Changing of The Guards…I’ll never forget how awe struck I was when I first stepped out of the underground tube, near the Park that takes you through to Buckingham Palace…My thoughts were so overwhelming! The years of history, that was right below my feet and the sheer wonderment of the people, throughout time that had walked these streets before me. Take a walk through London if you can, it’s an amazing place to visit!

Scotland

Worth visiting!

Scotland

Ok Scotland was WET & COLD! I thought England was a bit damp, holy cow~ Scotland must be a sanctuary for waterfoul! I can only imagine it as a paradise for ducks or something. Anyhow, if you don’t mind the rainy weather…go for it. The countryside is beautiful. The hairy cows are a riot! Otherwise, I was simply pleased when I was able to leave & dry out. I think I must have gone at the wrong time of year…April 2005. Oh well. I’m not sure I’ll ever return, unless I have to see my Mother-in-law, who lives there.

I Love Linocln, England. The nightlife/club scene makes my trips worth while, every time I visit. You can’t beat a night out on the High Street, then eating chips & cheese while waiting for your black cab. I Love Lincoln & have to thank Chris for all the great times I’ve had there!
