The islands off the Trengganu coast are simply gorgeous. They make me want to work like shite for 2 months and then take a week off to just lounge about on the beach doing nothing.
Right now, that’s my idea of a good life.
over 5 years agoMy father is from this state and we used to go back every school holiday, and I would have so much fun that I have come to associate Penang with happiness. Sometimes, when I feel the need to escape, I’d drive up here, rent a room on the beach and just hang around and do nothing for days. Brilliant way to detox!

People ask me if I’m interested to work or live elsewhere and I always say, no. I’m happy to be here. When I first got back after spending 6 years studying in the UK I was miserable and was looking for a way to get back to England. But now I’ve found my base here again and I wouldn’t trade it for anywhere else.
