You’ll want to try to get there before they open, because the line starts forming soon after. If you can’t make it until later, don’t get discouraged; the wait is well worth it. It’s easily the best sushi I’ve had in Portland, and is consistent, clean, always fresh, and has huge portions. Be prepared to take a to-go box if you order like it’s normal nigiri.

The landscape and scenery surrounding the city are beautiful, but the city itself is a miserable blight. It is the first place I ever had a cinnamon lassi (don’t recall the name of the restaurant), but that was one highpoint in a day otherwise wasted. If you go here, don’t stay in the city!

I used to work here. It humbled me, I got to meet lots of musicians, and was exposed to music and film and art I’d never have experienced otherwise.

Don’t dare go here without getting the scones with clotted cream. And so many different teas!
