My husband and I went their on business for our respective companies and had a wonderful time sight-seeing via the tube. It was amazing to see hundreds of years worth of wear on the steps of the white tower and Big Ben was smaller than we expected. It was a dream come true and even though the pollution from the lorries and cars made my husband’s asthma flare up and EVERYONE seemed to smoke, we’d go again in a minute!

Ben Lomond is a tiny town in the Santa Cruz mountains, a few miles north of the city of Santa Cruz. It’s rural and not known for anything, but is a nice place to stay with access to beach and redwoods and boasts a great music venue – Henflings Firehouse Tavern and a terrific quirky Italian Restaurant with entertainment – Ciao Bella! There is also the Castle, built in 1927, the Mountain Community Theatre and the Mountain Art Center.
