It’s just fun! There is so much to do. For people looking for a family vacation it’s just perfect. It has America’s Largest Waterpark (Noah’s Arc) plus Riverview and Family Land. There are tons of hotels – most with indoor waterparks. Minigolf, roller coasters, wax museums, Tommy Bartlet show – which is really neat. Magic shows, tons of cute little gift shops – although 90% sell all the same touristy stuff.

They also have camping, horseback riding, gold mining place, and lots of other fun stuff. There’s something for everyone.

Considering it’s in Wisconsin – it almost isn’t necessary to mention this – but I’ll throw it in anyways – there are LOTS of BARS!!

And if you go you absolutely must go for a ride on the Ducks. Fun, Educational, and Amazing Views!!

I definitely miss living 15 minutes away. At least now I’m only 2 1/2 hours away.

I moved to Portage when I was 13 and lived there till 18. Family is still there so I visit now and again. It’s a pretty normal town all things considered.

I put not worth visiting – cause although living there isn’t bad – unless you have family to visit or want to move there – it’s not that exciting for a vacation or anything. It’s just a normal town. Around 10,000 people. Few small parks, movie theatre, bowling alley, some food places, stuff like that.

Don’t know if it’s still there – but there used to be a really cool candy store there. There’s also a neat popcorn stand. The old one was better – but the one there now is pretty cool.

If you do go – Canal Days is pretty fun. Of course the county fair is pretty cool too. For the most part its just a small midwest town. Low crime – also low excitement.

The school is pretty neat though – 1996/1997 was the first year it was open – it’s practically brand new – so it has a lot of the new technologies.

Living in Portage completely changed my life. It’s a great town to raise a “normal” family in. Plus it’s right next door to the Wisconsin Dells – which is just too fun!! And only 1/2 hour from Madison. So although Portage isn’t that exciting – it’s really close to a lot of cool stuff.

Not a big fan of Sheboygan… I live about half hour away and I’d much rather go to Green Bay or just hang out in Manitowoc. It’s not the cleanest town. Mostly just bars and stuff. Although they do have a small mall and a decent movie theatre.

There are lots of golf courses in the county and the PGA was even at the one in Kohler last year – so if you’re into golf – this is a great place to visit.

The beach is fun to walk around on – Lake Michigan is really pretty!! I’m actually getting married on the beach but a little ways down in Manitowoc.
