I attended the 1999 Parliament of the World’s Religions in Capetown and fell in love with this beautiful City. The nearby wine country and wonderful white sand beaches add fabulous tourist possibilities as well. I would love to visit again!

Being so near to world reknowned San Francisco people in San Jose have a bit of an inferiority complex. Okay, we aren’t a world class tourist destination… but San Jose is a fine place to live and raise a family. We’re a diverse City with lots of arts and music. We’re a major film market and get both first run and art films. We have restaurants offering the tastes of every part of the globe. We host the regional Science Fiction convention BayCon at Memorial Day and have hosted the WorldCon as well. And that “mango” colored building in the photo is the Tech Museum and IMAX theatre.
