On Kelly’s Island you can see the longest, deepest glacial scars ever found!

I spent a week in Benton as a disaster relief volunteer in February 2009, and I met some of the nicest people. I really didn’t have any time for sightseeing, but I’d love to go back.

I ate dinner here after visiting Spissky Hrad (Spis Castle). Dinner was excelent and the owner’s son speaks fluent English. It appears that a lot of the locals eat here too. Would recommend this restaurant if you are in the area. The accomodations also seemed clean and inviting, although I did not stay at the motel.

Bring your own drinking water!

I’ve seen a lot better places than this. Boring!

The land is so flat here that I wouldn’t be suprised if you can see Liberal, Kansas from Texas.

I went to Chilicothe for a job interview. The interviewer asked if I had any interest in taking up hog raising as a hobby. I said I hadn’t really considered it. He said “that’s what we do around here, and if you don’t like hog raising, you probably won’t stay around too long”

I’ve performed on stage here twice in the opera chorus of the “Flying Dutchman” as a crew member of the ghost ship.

I worked across the street at Lenox Towers for two years after graduating from Georgia Tech.

My car broke down here on the way to the West Coast, so I had no choice but to spend a half a day here getting it repaired. In my opinion the place that worked on my car ripped me off, so I was glad to get out of this town, and I hope I don’t have to go back any time soon.
