I’ll never forget the moment I first saw Bora-Bora, in a photograph, that is. It was 10 years ago at my dentist’s office.
I pointed at the wall and with a swollen and a very aching mouth I murmured: “Have you been there?”
A big smile spread across his face & his eyes reflected a reminiscent dreamy gaze. “Yes.” he said. Then, he handed me my check.
I can’t describe the feeling that passed through me while I was looking at that 100-shades-of-blue deep sea & those white sands.
Yes, I’ve been to Cancun & even got lucky to survive Coppa-Cabana, yet I’ve never seen anything like Bora-Bora.
I remember the first thing that popped into my head was: Is there really such a place on the face of this earth?
The next thing that popped into my mind for some reason was:
Assuming this place IS real, I think it would make the best place for my honeymoon. Funny thing is, I was a young bachelor at the time, and after ruling-out the most wonderful- cliche honeymoon places such as Italy & France, there was no doubt in my mind – Bora-Bora is the ultimate honeymoon place.
Now, all I need is the consent of the yet-to-be-found merry bride and oh… yeah… damn, why didn’t I study dentistry.
