I just loved Athens! Greeks are so nice in general but I really felt at home while I was in Athens. It is very easy to get around; the metro is just incredibly cute! It helps that it doesn’t have much time but it is very well designed.

I loved going during the summer because the clubs open the summer version of their venues in glyfada, voula and all the other southern suburbs. The parties here are so much fun and greek pop is fun to dance to also! It is amazing how greeks love their music and have so much fun.

You feel so realxed just walking around and absorbing the culture, blending in and just enyoing the moment. I loved walking around and seeing all of the shoes stores! Athens is ALL about shoe stores! And they are great! Monastiraki (the flea market) is more like a street of small stores rather than the image I had of a flea market and I found incredible things there!

I don’t know why people say that 2 days in Athens is enough, because there is MUCH to see in Athens! The Archeological museum itself, the ancient agora, the roman agora, the clubs, the soccer stadiums, athenian beaches, the acropolis, sounion (farther away), etc. etc.!

I also loved greek junk food! Me and my friend became obssessed with souvlakis and fries. We also tried moussaka, pastitsio, oh and the famous frappes!

And what is great about Athens is that once you are there you can take short roadtrips to anywhere in continental greece AND to the islands! We took day trips to Delphi, Micenae, Hydra, Poros, Aegina, Epidravros, the Corinth channel and then took off to the Cyclades!

Athens is more than a stop before the islands for me, and everyone who has explored it off the beaten track knows it too. :)

I just loooooove Mykonos… * gasp * I cannot wait to go again! I hope it can be soon!

memories… I remember walking back to our hotel en las ramblas after a great night of partying. It was around 5 am and for some weird reason a stand of flowers was open. This gorgeous guy I had just met bought me a cute rose.. memories! I need to go back to Barca! (and NOT to cheer for their team hehe)

Good girls go to heaven, bad girls go to Amsterdam… I seriously need to go to Amsterdam again! heheh (By the way, that was what my tshirt said)

It was just INCREDIBLE! I had spent some minutes just walking around. Then I suddenly realized that what looked like columns and designs on the walls was actually hand painted! It looked so real. Michaeangelo is just a master! And I never imagined the image of the creation was like that. There were so many things in the ceiling that it didn’t look as predominant as I thought it would. Really cool. And the huge painting in the altar has a awesome sgnificance. I really wanted to stay and stare at the frescoes for hours if I could have!!! The only bad thing is that it is really crowded, I mean REALLY crowded! But what can I expect? I’m not the only person who wants to see all that grandness in person. It is so worth seeing.

DISSAPOINTING! ok.. I must admit that you HAVE to see this when you go to Paris! This is a MUST! But… I wasn’t very impressed. The techinques are great. The effect of the eyes is really cool. But I don’t think that you’ll be able to appreciate it because of all of the people surrounding it and pushing each other to get a picture! But, you must go see this anyway. I was shocked by how small it was, btu I just guess it was my ignorance, I must have known it, and you can’t judge a painting by its size either!
