Nepal, Asia

Katmandu

My husband and I went to Katmandu for our honeymoon, (as well as India). And we absoloutly loved it. While we enjoyed India, we felt somewhat intimidated by its intensity and were hesitant to go places without a guide. In Nepal we felt safe and relaxed, and after the first couple of days with a friend who lived there, we felt oriented enough to explore the city and the Katmandu valley on our own. There is so much to see there. We hope to go back next summer.

India, Asia

Delhi, Dharamsala, Agra

I went to India with my husband on our honeymoon. We are both buddhist, so it was a religious trip as much as a sightseeing one. It was amazing! We can’t wait to go back. Sometimes it was a little intense though, and for those who are sensitive to that, I would recommend Nepal (where we also visited). It is just as beautiful and culturaly rich, and much more laid back, less crowded, and cleaner.
