Joplin, Missouri

I think it was here...

My first venture into the heartland, in 9th grade (??). I don’t remember much of it because I was there for a piano competition and was only there for a few days. My favorite dress ever is from a thrift store somewhere round there.

Delaware Water Gap, Pennsylvania

I'll never forget

Catching a shad right out of the water with my two hands! He was old and sick though. And after all the weeks of talking about shad on the river. It was after hiking on a summer daytrip (looking for a river to swim in, but only found a swamp. And THEN, the water gap!) with Dan and we wandered into the river, fully clothed.
