Think Alice Springs, Uluru and the Great Southern Railway.

Since my last holiday, visiting some National Parks in North America, my tastes have changed. Previously, I would have listed lots of European cities on 43things. I still have some, but also desire to see more natural beauty. Since North America has many such places,and I have more family there to visitthere, it is an obvious choice.

I lived in Auckland for three years, but recently visited my parent there. Make sure you visit some of the bays near the city – Mission Bay and Kohimarama

I have seen Lake Tahoe from the air, but love to experience it from the ground. I have heard it it beautiful in winter and almost spent Christmas in a cabin there in 2004. However, there is probanly more to do in the warmer months.

I have given my reasons for Denmark and Norway. This city is nearby and everyone I know has loved it – even when visiting mid-winter!

Going here for the history and beautiful islands is obvious. But recently my sister went and just stayed by the pool for a week – the food and weather was so gorgeous there was no point travelling any further.

I would like to visit the mitten state as my sister and brother-in-law live there. Maybe this is where I can finally erxperience a white Christmas.

While I posted elsewhere that my husband is half dannish, he is really norwegian. His mother was born in Denmark, but her parents are Norwegian. Apart from the beautiful country, this is another reason to travel there.
