A Young, Single, White Girl's Perspective

I live here and I love it here. It’s grimey, it’s dangerous, it’s my kind of city. I grew up in a safe, beautiful and “perfect” suburb in Metro-Detroit. The juxtaposition between these two places is huge, which may be why I love it so much. It gets a bad rep, but I see it coming around. The history behind the city is so consuming and passionate. Words cannot describe all the feelings I hold for Detoit.
