Tour Eiffel

Worth visiting!

I've been here twice

Once in summer and once in winter. I went iceskating on the Eiffel Tower, it was free! Take the stairs, it’s worth it.

Angkor Wat

Worth visiting!

Amazing. I think next time I would like to explore it over three days rather than in a 14 hour stint in that heat. Heh. But yes, worth seeing. We paid $16 (between four) for a driver for the entire day.

Why I want to go to this place

Because I missed it first time around. And it will need more than a month to see it properly.

The last time I went to this place

Don’t give money to the snake charmers or monkeys. Be sure to drink the fresh juice (3 dirham) and eat at the night food stalls.

Worth visiting!

Rome

Spent days walking Rome – the best way to see the city. Visiting Europe in winter is highly recommended. No queues for the Vatican and the Collesseum looks just as beautiful covered in rain!

Worth visiting!

Cambodia

Cambodia is one of my favourite countries and a great place to travel to. Highly, higly recommended.

Travelled overland from Poipet to Siem Reap. Spent 3 days in Siem Reap. Ate at Red Piano (no sign of Angelina). Spent sunrise to sunset at Angkor Wat. Travelled by bus to Phnom Penh. Went to Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (S-21), the Killing Fields of Cheong Ek & Wat Phnom. And then onto Sihanoukville. Stayed at the Nap House on Serendipity Beach (formerly Uncle Bobs and highly recommended) and swam lots.

The Khmers are the friendliest people we have met in SE Asia. They are eager to practise their English and the children are so, so, beautiful.
