Fisherman's Wharf, San Francisco

New Year's Eve

Actually, I went there twice. The first time was during the day, and I loved watching the sea lions! They don’t smell that great, though…

The second time was New Year’s Eve. We watched the fireworks from Pier 39. A bit far away, but nice anyway.

Fisherman’s Wharf is nice, but I think it’s a place I will only go when I have out of town visitors to entertain.

Chinatown, San Francisco

Cool

I wandered to Chinatown the other day after work and found a great little bakery that sells one of my favorite snacks!!! I don’t know what it’s called in Chinese or English, but in Japanese it’s Goma Dango. It’s a kind of sweet red bean paste-filled donut covered in sesame seeds. Delicious!
