Delaware, United States

Untitled

Well, I wouldn’t travel here from far, but there are things to do if you are local that are nice and plus the obvious main perk is that it is tax free. I went to University of Delaware and kind of hated it though. I didn’t want to go there in the first place but my grandmother made me feel so guilty about going far away and for some reason UDel was like the only school I applied that was close to home (I knew a bunch of people already going there). I guess I just needed more to do than keg parties on a frequent basis. The University itself isn’t a bad institution though it was just that Newark bored me to tears, especially since I had no car.

New Jersey, United States

Untitled

I’m from South Jersey, which usually isn’t the ‘Jersey’ people who aren’t from around here think of. I lived there for the first 18 years of my life and it is where I learned to appreciate nature, farming, plants, animals, and so on. I grew up in a smallish farm town near the Pine Barrens and most of my family still lives there or around there and since I live in Philadelphia now I travel back by train often. I can’t say I could live there, I love urban life and having access to everything and anything, but whenever I go back I realize more and more how much growing up there did have its positive impact. The photo above is of my part of my maternal grandmother’s property. I love it there.
