I have been nearly everywhere in Florida. Who knew it takes 8 hours to get from Melbourne to Pensacola?

Living outside of the U.S. would be a life changing event for any American. Such an eye opener to be immersed in another culture that hasn’t been completely westernized (yet). My 4 years in Misawa were a great experience, yet underappreciated. If I could do it all over again, I would embrace the culture and language a lot more. Unfortunately I lived there when I was 10-14, and was not fully aware of my unique opportunity.

Lesson learned: immerse yourself completely
