Visiting would be such a huge culture shock! I’m fascinated by Japan’s history and it’s people and culture and would love to see first hand how things are over there. I need to learn japanese first, though . . .

Destin is a great place, but it’s still a little touristy. Many of the restaurants are tourist traps that look fun on the outside, and serve overpriced crap on the inside. If you know some locals, check with them when picking a place to eat. There are some great places to eat outside of Destin down hiway 30A, like the Red Bar, and Criolla’s.

Stay away from Barre!

Worst state capitol . . . ever. I had to live in Barre (right out side of Montpelier) because I went to school at NECI. It takes about 20 minutes to drive through Main Street, a stretch of about 4 or 5 blocks, because the traffic is horrendous, and pedestrians are encouraged by state laws to just walk out in the street to cross the road without looking. There’s nothing to do here.

If I had to live in VT, I would live here.

I left Iowa years ago and I kind of miss Iowa City. It’s the only place in Iowa where you can find a little culture, diversity, and a few good restaurants.

I worked at the Mormon Trek location years ago before college. Great place, excellent coffee, nice relaxing environment to study. Go there!
