Sugar Ski Resort

Worth visiting!

Still can't ski!

I went to Sugar Mt. on two seperate times, 16 & 17 years old. I am a Florida girl, so the snow was a treat, the cold was not!
The first year I did okay, aces the bunny slope! However the second year, I think I got worste. I wiped out a poor little pine tree, and everything tasted like pine for a couple of days.
I tried ice skating. Boy was that a joke! Put on skates, stood up, feel down, took skates off, had bruised butt!
I have never been to another ski slope, so have nothing to compare it to, but will live if I never ski or ice skate again.
It was truly beautiful though!
...and, no, this picture is not me!!!

Carlsbad Caverns

Worth visiting!

I loved the underground lake!

Carlsbad Caverns was a must see! Don’t pass up the chance to see the bats at dusk, that was spooky, but really cool.
My family went to Texas on vacation when I was 16, and this was the best part of the trip. The walk down was a little long, but the lake at the bottom was well worth it!

New Orleans

Worth visiting!

I'm glad I had the chance

I lived in Pensacola for a number of years, and never made it to Mardi Gras. I always wanted to go, but was not sure that I could handle all the people.
We went in May, which was a little hot already, but it was so nice. I loved the old buildings, and the people that lived there were truly friendly.
I am very glad that I had the opportunity to see this great place before the storm hit it. It will never be the same.

Florida

Worth visiting!

Born and raised

I was born and raised in Florida. I started off in Chiefland, and moved to Pensacola when I was about 23. I now live in Alabama.
I have been to the Keys, but I like Cedar Key alot better. I have been to Disney, Epcot, Sea World, Circus World {closed now, too bad, it was great}, Bush Gardens, Cypress Gardens. I know I am missing something, I was in Girl Scouts forever!
I lived close to the Swanaee River and Manatee Springs State Park.
Pensacola is a great city, just too many people. The beaches are some of the best in the world. That is also where the Blue Angels are based out of. They have a great show every year in November, much better to go to than the one on the beach in July {way too hot, and you can not get in the water}.
I love Florida, too bad everyone else does too. There are so many people moving there. Maybe that is why Mother Nature is trying to clear some of them out!

Mount Rainier

Worth visiting!

The Stellar Jays Were Too Cool

The whole experience was awesome {even though I do not like heights}, but the stellar jays were really cool. Of course, you are told not to feed them, but it would have been worth a ticket had I had gotten caught!
We also say a black bear that I felt the need to run after to get a picture. I am thankful, now, that he was faster than I!
I went in September, and it was wonderful weather.I will go back again, Washington state is beautiful.

Teotihuacán

Beauty of yesterday and today

The idea that two peoples built such simular structures in ancient times, is so fascinating to me. {I mean the Epytians.}
It is my goal to see both places.

Morocco

(in Africa)
Romantic

Morocco is such a romantic place to me. The art of the buildings, and the simplicity of the people just add to the romance. Would love to go here.

Ancient temples

The modern beauty of this place is beautiful, but I love ancient ruins most of all. Either way, I think that would be a great place to visit.

Alaska

pure raw beauty!

I am a Florida girl and do not do the snow thing, so I will have to go in the summer! Unless, the winter is when the northern lights are the best! I guess I could bundle up for that.

Isla de Pascua

(in Chile)
...just...WOW!

How cool would it be to see the setting sun from this beautiful island? To think of the blood, sweat and tears it took to make those statues.
