I went here in college just to see what it was like. I think this was the first nude beach that I visited. My girlfriend and I had a blast. We walked along the beach. At the far north-end, there are some clay pits with light and dark clays. We painted bathing suits on ourselves- it was so cool. Everyone at the beach was very cool and friendly.
about 1 year agoI love Black’s Beach. I try to go every time I visit San Diego. The hike down the cliffs is challenging, but worth the effort. The beach is very laid back and the people are friendly. There is usually a group from Black’s Beach Bares that hang out there.

I’ve been to this beach twice. Once as part of an organized tour – the tour company apparently thinks it is funny to bring the tourists to see all of the nudists enjoying the beach. I felt awkward at the whole situation. It looked like a great beach, but being surrounded by a bunch of people gawking and cracking jokes ruined the experience
I returned several years on my honeymoon. My wife and I enjoyed the beach and it was particularly nice to be able to walk up to the bar and get a bear after being in the hot sun without having to get dressed.
I would definitely like to return — perhaps an anniversary trip is needed!
