Thanksgiving weekend!

my brother went to basic training there. i’ve never been so proud or relieved (that he was coming home) than i was on parris island. its a pretty area, but if you have any marines in your travelling party, don’t expect them to want to join you!

my brother was stationed here. so i’m not very partial to it. its a huge base and if you’ve never been on a military base it would be cool to look around on, otherwise. stay away from military bases and military towns.

alot of images are hidden behind blinders, so you aren’t forced to look if you don’t want. probably not a good place for young kids…i went when i was 13 and was learning about that time in history. definitely not something i will forget.

I don’t know about the “confusing” description as mentioned below, especially since everything is really on 2 main roads, but WKU has a good Broadcasting and Nursing department, and the Greenwood Mall isn’t half bad for a not-so-big-towncity.

Every American should go there at least once.
