I’m not usually that big on typical beach holiday destinations but when all your fellow holiday makers are Italian it makes for an enjoyable experience. Beautiful beaches, beautiful food, beautiful people.

I live here. London has everything you could ever dream of but its not very user friendly… the cool places/thigns to do are hidden amongst alot of crap. It really helps if you know other people here. If you are travelling here and you don’t know anyone you could try staying/hanging out at one of the hostels like the http://www.generatorhostels.com/ or just go out to a club and start chatting to people. Londoners have a reputation for not being that sociable but its usually that people are just a bit busy/shy – you’ll be surprised at how friendly people can be if you take the initiative.

Although it is relatively expensive there are plenty of nice cheap places to eat/shop/drink but again they are buried in amongst lots of crap expensive places… especially in the west end and other touristy areas!

Transport – buy a day/week/or month pass (now known as Oyster Cards) and if possible stick to buses.

It can be hard work but is worth the effort.
