Rainbow Lodge, Houston

Untitled

I went here for a friend’s 25th birthday brunch. It was just 4 ladies having breakfast and mimosas. The wait staff was very attentive and polite. I enjoyed the experience and food very much.

Movie Tavern, Houston

Untitled

The food wasn’t the greatest tasting. The experience was a lot of fun. I saw Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and drank a blue margarita and ate a burger. It’s definitely a fun and enjoyable atmosphere. I didn’t even have any noise problems. It was actually more quiet than a regular theater!

Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Atlanta

F- for Delta

Delta airlines has terrible/non-existent customer service. My flight was delayed leaving Charlotte and going to Atlanta due to “adverse weather in Atlanta”. When I finally got to Atlanta, I ran to the train, rode to the farthest away terminal, and ran to my gate just in time to see my plane leaving (which had been delayed as well, and I still missed it by 2 minutes). The desk clerk at the gate ROLLEDHEREYES at me while explaining that she couldn’t open the door once it had been closed. She sent me to the Delta customer service desk where I waited in line for 40 minutes (missing the next flight home) before getting service. I was then told that they couldn’t do anything and I had to wait at the gate where the next flight home was in order to see if I could get on it. The desk clerk at the gate told me to go to customer service desk. I told him that they told me to go to the gate. After being told I couldn’t get on that plane, I was told that I MAY be on the next plane, which was 8 hours wait. I had to beg him to guarantee that I would be on that plane. When I asked him how they determined who got on, he said it is based on class. I feel that given that I paid for my ticket just as much as the other people paid for their tickets, I deserve to be on the plane as much as them. So, I asked him, “So in reality, I could be here forever?” He said, “Theoretically, yes.” The other gate desk clerk said that I didn’t qualify for a paid hotel room for the night, and when I finally convinced them that I did, they only wanted to pay for half of it and it was 12 miles away from the airport. So, I stayed in the airport overnight, and finally left the next morning. Delta should be shut down. They don’t care at all about their customers.

Regarding the airport itself, the bathrooms are very clean for public restrooms.

Update 11/28/07 – I forgot to mention the fact that the day I got home was my fiance’s birthday. My work didn’t tell me not to come in. So, I stayed up all day, all night, and the following all day working. When I got home, I passed out, and my fiance still is upset with me because I didn’t even spend time with him.
