skipped over india on my last trip. had a few chances to get a visa, but always found that I didn’t want to be without my passport for a week or two. It’s fairly accessible from Australia, so I can go there another time..

a good place to eat lots of yummy food of course!

I did the “night safari” – pretty cool as big, slick tourist attractions go – I enjoyed it. nice people (most of the world has those). entertainment is a bit thin, but some interesting galleries, and some OK theatre.

easy to bag london – it’s not the nicest mega-city, but being a mega-city, you can always find good stuff.

still, the best thing about london is that it’s so cheap to fly to somewhere else.

excellent city! – cheap, fun, relaxed, fairly safe. no wonder so many of my friends have moved there.

It always takes me a few days to get used to the flatness and quietness of holland, but I enjoy the uniquely dutch things more every time I go there.

Oman is a good place to sleep a lot, and then have some adventures, and then sleep some more. Nice to see a place where Sunnis and Shiites get along just fine, while Fox and CNN would have us believe that they hate each other.
