Well, in South Florida, anyway. Right on the border between Broward and Dade. It’s a great place to take a vacation, but I think I’m done living there.

over 6 years agoI spent about a week in Sint Maarten/St Martin back in March of this year with my girlfriend of the time (thanks to her parents’ generosity). We stayed in the Sapphire Beach Club on the west side of the island, just a short walk from the Dutch/French border.
Sint Maarten isn’t the place to go if you’re looking to live the life of luxury…unless you’ve got loads of money to blow on your vacation. There’s certainly disparity between the income levels and lifestyles of the residents and the wealthy tourists, which makes itself evident in the obvious poverty that no amount of whitewashing and landscaping could hide. However, as long as you aren’t expecting an island paradise and a posh resort, Sint Maarten is a great place to get lost in adventure.
