U.S. Space & Rocket Center, Huntsville

I survived a weekend with the Cub Scouts

;) This was a great trip – the boys really enjoyed the museum and the various activities they had. Lots of real space stuff you can get up close and personal with – brought back memories of my elementary school days and the thrill of space exploration.

There is a rocket park outside that is really impressive too – they are restoring a Saturn V rocket (Apollo program) that is a National Historic Landmark (stages lying on side in background)

Actually remembered to mail off a postcard to the Robots too!

Sherman, Connecticut

I lived here when my husband & I were first

married. We rented a winterized lake cabin that was our little “love shack”. It really was not much more than a shack. It had a dirt basement, so we had a lovely family of mice living with us too. We loved living here, it was on Candlewood Lake and the rest of the homes were owned mostly by New Yorkers who only came up on spring and summer weekends. I can only imagine what the real estate prices are up there lateley :)….

Chichen Itza, Yucatán (State)

It has been a few years

I recall the bus ride from Cancun as harrowing – the drivers are absolutely crazy and we passed a number of horrible accidents along the way. The ruins were amazing and yes we braved climbing the large pyramid (can’t recall the names of anything). Going up was not as bad as coming down :)
