My family has gone to KY Lake for reunions for over a decade. It’s beautiful and relaxing, and close enough to Nashville or Memphis for an exciting day trip. I especially recommend WHISPERING OAKS resort for a great family vacation.

I lived in KC as a young girl and we visited the Plaza every Easter… bunny statues, bands playing in the streets, beautiful fountains—so fun! Now, as an adult, my parents have moved back to KC and we’ve made the Plaza part of our Christmas holidays. We saw the lighting ceremony on Thanksgiving – beautiful, and so fun! – and do a lot of shopping there. It’s a great place – a lively intersection of all kinds of people, and you can spend as much or as little as you like. Really fantastic.
