when the motorcycle came around the bend to give me my first view of the bayon and its enormous magnificent faces, it took my breath away. one of the few time in my life something i’ve seen has made me speechless.
over 4 years agothere are several brazilian grocery stores where you can get wonderful imported food, as well as a place that sells organic brown rice. nearby shiojiri also has an organic whole-foods bakery and cafe, in the woods just outside of town. there used to be – maybe still is? – a tasty indian restaurant near the train station; great tasting food, but a little (cough) cockroach problem.
