it was October and about 85 degrees, whereas my hometown of Seattle was in the 40s and raining.

I volunteered there as a record reviewer for awile. Got to play live on the air too. That was pretty bitchin’.

Seattle is awesome. Backward, provincial, and often clueless, but it’s my hometown, dammit, and I love it.

Actually, it was the sturgeon. Holy crap it was big.

They have (had? It’s been awhile…) a very friendly beluga whale there.

I might have liked it even better if I were a surfer. Santa Cruz is the first place I ever did mushrooms. Way to go Santa Cruz!

Went to the Lionel Hampton Jazz fest every year in high school. Mostly we’d kill time at the surplus store and buy throwing stars and gas masks and drink smuggled 40s back at the motel.

I spent 2.5 days there in 1999. That was about all I needed. Had a blast though. I mean, hell, it’s Las Vegas, joo know?

Played at this thing called Edgefest last summer at the local community college. We were the token non-nü-metal band. I can’t really say if it’s worth visiting. The bowling alley/card room was pretty cool in a gross way.
