Coachella Music & Arts Festival, Empire Polo Field

Been going every year since 2007

I only went the first day in 2007, but since 2008 I’ve been going every year for all 3 days. It’s definitely worth repeat visits. Of course, it’s expensive to get a hotel and tickets – but it’s like a year’s worth of shows condensed into 3 days. And the line ups are generally amazing, plus you never know who might join some other big band on stage.

Coachella Music & Arts Festival, Empire Polo Field

I'm going to Coachella on Friday!

I’m planning on seeing Bjork, Interpol, Jarvis Cocker, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Arctic Monkeys, Silversun Pickups, Of Montreal, Tilly and the Wall, Tokyo Police Club, and Noisettes. Maybe also Faithless.

Best and Worst Moments of Leeds Festival 2002

………………

(as seen in the Reading/Leeds Program 2003)

Here are my memorable moments from Leeds 2002:

Worst: wheeling a large suitcase for miles, realizing I’d forgotten to pack my tent poles, being subject to a random ass grabbing

Best: meeting two girls (Marnie and Pip) who let me camp on their site, great performances, spotting Robert Turner of BRMC and getting his autograph while grinning uncontrollably.

In case you’re wondering, he wrote “One is better than nuthin’” on my festival program.
