Slept Through Most of It
Went on a family vacation to Gulf Shores, Alabama and drove through Arkansas. I just remember lots of signs for boiled peanuts, fields, and irrigation equipment.

I traveled to Cote d’Ivoire when I was around 8-9 with my parents, and don’t remember much of the trip, I do however remember Abidjan being pretty amazing, and traveling around in the market place near our hotel. I believe we also went to the French Cultural Centre.

If you have a “tour guide” from the area you’re visiting, it makes it all the better. Missouri can seem a little dull when you don’t know where to go and what to do. North of the Missouri River, you have Historic Lexington. Which is a great place to visit if you’re a history buff. KCMO offers the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art , Union Station/Science City, City Market, Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, Westport, Worlds of Fun, KC Zoo and IMax, Powell Gardens and Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art. KC has some great restaurants, a personal favourite of mine being Genghis Khans Mongolian Grill. If you’re planning on heading to Missouri and want to do some shopping, the Plaza offers “higher end” stores in a romantic and easy to get to setting. If you’re more of an outdoors person you can head to the Lake of the Ozarks for some boating/fishing action and stop in at Silver Dollar City on the way. Or perhaps you’re more into geology, in which case you can see the Marvel Cave, and tour the countryside via a Showboat. If you’re in the St. Louis area you have a plethora of fun activites, such as the St. Louis Art Museum, The Arch, Missouri’s premier Botanical Garden, the St. Louis Zoo, and Forest Park, Anheuser-Busch Brewery, and Magic House. For a real taste of St. Louis grab a Frozen Custard from Ted Drewes on Chippewa.
