Lucian and Amadeo

When I was in Venice for the 2005 Biennale, there happened to be Lucia Freud and Amadeo Modigliani exhibitions at the museum. Unfortunately they weren’t on my group’s literary. So I got up early and walked through the piazza in the rain, the most beautiful thing.

Quite unfortunately I didn’t have enough time to go to both exhibits. I didn’t want to try to rush through them so I had to choose. I ended up going to the Freud, which was amazing, but to this day I am still disappointed that I didn’t get to see the Modigliani show.

Herculaneum, Napoli

Untitled

I agree with igadabout on all three counts. If you have to choose between going to Herculaneum and Pompeii, I’d recommend Herculaneum !

I never would’ve been able to get some of the photo ops I had at Herculaneum at Pompeii ! :sneaky:

Pompeii, Provincia di Napoli

Untitled

Even though Pompeii is awesome, I would recommend visiting Ercolano/Herculaneum even more than Pomepeii !

Because it was closer to Vesuvius, it is much better preserved !
