this is the border between bulgaria and serbia.i hitch-hiked to here from sofia with a turkish track. when we arrived, saw a great queue of track so i decided to walk. counted 150 (!) tracks till the border entrance (about on 4 km) and there were also a lot inside the border. poor drivers…

it was a dissapointment. we arrived there afternoon of eastern’s monday by train and it was impossibleto find an accomodation. we picked up two hostels from hostelworld but one of them is only open in summer time, the other one isn’t really a hostel, rather a college.
it was difficult to find a money-changer, but at least, there was one near to the train station.
smart town, but not really fit for turists.

if you really want a great accomodation, be brave! don’t book with agency before your trip (they often offer acc in the newer part), just go to the older part, there are always free rooms or apartments.

it’s a small village placed foot of the mountain Vitosha. i were there, cause we hiked the mountain and unfortunatelly missed the last bus. we had to walk down on foot cause from Vladaya there is a connection to Sofia in the evening.
