I recently gathered book recommendations from all my smartypants friends. The boy that I like to make out with suggested Another Roadside Attraction which I have really been digging.
I wander into Slim’s which is the coolest place in Tennessee and I am struck by the absurdist nature of the space. It was reminding me of something that I couldn’t place. After a couple of Southern Comfort Lemonades, I read the side of the menu where it lists Roadside as the inspiration for the joint.
It could have only kicked ass more if make-out boy was with me.

Watch the duck parade from the roof. They come out of the Duck Palace, waddle all fat and cute into the lift, and the leader jumps up and pecks the lobby button.
You will never eat duck again.

This place is authentic old Vegas done right.

This place has a Red Bull mimosa. I didn’t get one cause there was a run on o.j. but just the fact that some crafty little devil thought it up and put it on the menu earns this place my loyalty.

It turns out that sea hose are quite the aphrodisiac.

Girls in bikinis stomp-dancing on the bar while insulting you with bullhorns and pouring liquor in your cleavage….what’s not to like?

On the stage there is a 3 foot gold belt buckle enscripted with “Toby”.
That pretty much sums it up.
