Most beautiful, tranquil place I’ve seen in Vietnam. Awesome! If you go there you must try sleeping on a junk.

Went there last summer and had a blast! So many things to do there, you can easily spend a week discovering Bohol. When I was there, the chocolate hills were actually green (not quite burnt yet), and I thought the tarsiers would be cute but I found them scary (they love munching on grasshoppers and seeing those legs sticking out of their mouths creeps me out). I got dragged by my travelmate to at least 3 old churches and I climbed a really old lighthouse. I posed by Napoleon Abueva’s sculpture of the blood compact. I checked out an underground cave and crossed a hanging bridge. I did the Loboc river cruise, saw about a dozen tiny waterfalls, and watched kids dive into the river from a really high tree, they looked like monkeys from afar! Overall it was worth the visit.

I was really impressed by Ha Long Bay. The caves were well worth seeing as well. I slept on a junk, was truly a unique experience.
