I was born and raised in Honolulu, Foster Village to be exact. A lot has changed since I was last home. I loved being raised in Hawaii but now it’s too crowded for me. I still recommend it to people b/c the beaches are beautiful, the food is the best ever and the people really are filled with Aloha… what can I say ~ I’m an island girl…

Was in 2006. My grandparents on my dad’s side live there. This is def where I would live if I didn’t love So Georgia so much.

I moved to Valdosta Georgia in 1995. Coming from Hawaii, moving to South Georgia was a complete culture shock.
Over the years I have come to completely fall in love with South Georgia. The weather is temperate. I am literally in the middle of it all. It takes me 1-1/2 hrs to get to the beach, 15 mins to the lake, an hour from the mountains… AND I am a couple hours from MAJOR cities that have all the shopping malls and “big city” things/places I want. Plus, my kids can grow up playing in the woods and learning about nature and breathing fresh air and not smog from constant traffic.
Never thought I’d fall in love with this place but now I can’t imagine living anywhere else.
