Great sound in there although it was super hotttt!

Every band I know has played at The Doll Hut, so the first time I went there I was shocked by how tiny it is! Regardless of it’s size though I’ve never had a bad time there =)
I took the picture above of my friend Scott singing there with his band Social Task.

This place is covered with band stickers on the inside, and the bathrooms are covered with graffiti. That being said, those two factors are probably why I enjoyed being there so much… always something new to look at!
Chain Reaction is an all ages venue…. so be aware that there is no alcohol served there at all. I overheard a lot of people saying, “what? No bar?!” and making plans to go to the liquor store and come back. Unfortunately, they don’t have a revolving door policy there… once you’re in, you’re in.
All in all, I had a good time there. It’s a trip being at a show and looking over to see 14 year old kids rockin’ out and having a great time right there with you, but I say, the younger we get them started the better!

Garden Grove… here I come!

I recently went back to HOBA to see Social Distortion… it was a great show, but I’d forgotten how hot it gets in that place! =)

I finally went to the Holywood Bowl!

It was the very last night of the Genesis reunion tour on 10/13 2007. I loved it. It was a historical night at a historical place, and I’ll never forget it. :o)

I just wish I lived closer to it :o)

Just a great little bar with great live music.

...and the pear cider is yummy :P

Some friends and I brought in the New Year here one year sometime back in the 90s…

fun but somewhat fuzzy memories!

The family that was seated next to us had just won a whole bunch of money on “Family Feud”... let’s just say they were slightly loud and drunk, but entertaining to watch! :o)
