Gunston Hall, Mason Neck
Untitled
The house of George Mason, the mansion is not a grand as Jefferson’s Monticello or Washington’s Mount Vernon but has a charm all its own. Situated on the banks of the Potomac River, the house has a commanding view of the river.
The gardens and house are being still in the process of being restored to their original design. The house guide was well informed and provided interesting information on the Mason family and colonial life at the house.
