I loved this city. Flamenco shows, cheap tapas bars, exploring old caves and aqueducts in the hills miles behind the Alhambra. Hiking in the sierra nevada. I spent a couple weeks here with my cousin Janique and all the other travellers that straggled through her living room.

So amazing. Spent the summer canoe-tripping here. Sweet memories of 6 km portages carrying a pack and a water logged Grumman in wicked hot weather. Bugs so thick you can’t see – but I loved it anyway.

Go in August to avoid most of the bugs.

hit the exchange district. Awesome old buildings sitting vacant.

I’d like to return and spend more time.

I’d like to go back with a proper winter coat :) It was cold when I was there at the end of October ‘03. Visited Jessica Boesel. hit a Sarah Harmer concert with the Murphy gals – discovered Josh Ritter’s music (he opened for Sarah Harmer).

this place was a lot of fun. I hiked up in the two peaks on either side of the town. amazing.

s’cool. Check out the desert in central/eastern washington.

hit eastern morocco to get off the tourist track, I really enjoyed spending time in Oujda. Fez was okay, and Chefchaouen was great. Port towns in the north suck.

I loved the singing sands-can’t remember what beach that was. Hitting Shortsands for surf during a huge storm in fall 99.

I want to go back in the summer!
