Nice little town. Still, the biggest in Flores island – ferry hub – for Surabaya, Denpasar, Kupang and probably others. Plenty of accomodation options, not too much to see still a nice place to hang around for 1-2 days.
Only one internet cafe, but the best internet connection in the whole island of Flores – where standard is still the good old dial-up (Aug 2008)

It’s one of those tropical paradises you see in the travel magazines :)

Cute little town. A lot of monasteries. A lot of rock-climbing places nearby. Good food.

Not easy getting here, but worth visiting if you need a decent, laid back, seaside resort.

Don’t really know if it’s worth visiting.
It’s nice, cute though not quite vibrant town, I don’t imagine spending too many days there.

I was really waiting for this one.
The closest thing to Babylon, a nexus of classic/contemporan/urban culture.
I had the luck to visit it off season, I was told that othervise it’s overwhelmingly crowded.
