Moab

Worth visiting!

moab...

Summer started with Moab. What an magical fantastic trip! My friends and I had Moab withdrawal for days after.

Linda drove us the 6 hours, and the pictures say it all. Starting with the scenery of the dead trees in the mist we passed on the way, to our camping spot, to 4 wheeling around the switch backs down to Mineral road. It was all so gorgeous!

And having such chilled out friends to be with made it all the better!

The Dish Bistro

Worth visiting!

Why I recommend this place to locals

One of the best neighborhood bistros in Denver. Great selection on the menu, and best value on the wine list. I’m surprised this little gem of a place hasn’t had more recognition and reviews. I’ve never been disappointed with the food when I eat here. And the staff are very friendly too!

Mona's

Worth visiting!

A review of this place: excellent service and eggs done right

Stopped in at Mona’s for breakfast while my bike was getting fixed next door at REI. Totally worth the wait, and visit.

They use good quality fresh eggs and the portions are generous. I ordered the egg scramble with avocado, sausage and jack. They didn’t skimp on the avocado which I loved. Potatoes were decent too.

I was especially impressed by the service. I was reading a book while I was there, and they weren’t bothered by how long I stayed even though there was a wait list. My coffee and water were refilled many times before I could even think of asking.

A review of this place: awesome fitness

Great trainers and an awesome workout that won’t tire you out. I’ve learned more about my body from Pilates than I have from any other type of physical fitness.

El Santuario

Worth visiting!

El Santuario de Chimayo, the Lourdes of America

A small shrine in Chimayo founded in the 1800’s, this quiet and unassuming place gets hundreds of thousands of visitors each year. There’s some story about the sand in there being holy, and I hear they send truck loads of sand to replace what people take.

Kanzeon Zen Center

Worth visiting!

Beautiful sangha

I spent two weeks here during the Big Mind month, and I had the most amazing time. Anyone looking for some of the best on Western Zen should check this place out. Zen Master Genpo Dennis Merzel Roshi, the Abbot of the place, is a truly magnificent human being, and is a stunning manifestation of Presence.
