I was here for a week, during spring, it was an interesting place. Something peculiar about the entire place though is that it was very separated… like you had little regions cut off into peices, with 10-15 minutes of nothing in between. It seems the entire town is composed of smaller ‘village’ like components. Universite de Sherbrooke is pretty cool tho. In my entire time I heard two English words (not in the university, or the hotel I was in) Buh-bye! Very French place… however, the people seem pretty friendly! :)

I only found the painting the Last Judgement by Memling several months ago through Google answer… and it’s weird to see it here again! I lived in Gdnask for a few years when I was younger, and I don’t remember if we went to the museum to actually see this or if it was on a postcard (although I have a feeling I may have seen it live) but it made such a strong impression on me, and I saw it again 15 years later! My memories of Poland are actually pretty vivid—even though I was very young. I can even recall smells, and sounds and colours because I guess you are very impressionable at that age. One thing that I remember in particular is going through some sort of woods in the afternoon to get to the beach where we would walk for hours. And the swans…! And our neighbors… The daycare… the hospital… the market, the buildings, the churches… the old women selling fruit… I heard from someone who went back later that it has changed a lot. But nonetheless, I’d love to go back, I’d love to find those people, I’d love to see this city which has almost become a dream entity to me.

I’ve been to a lot of places around Iran (travel from this place to that), lived there for about a decade, beautiful country, there are really no places in the world that stand parallel to all the beauty, magnificance, and history that this corner of the world contains!

I was there for a few years around a decade ago. Bandar and its neighbouring towns were—simply beautiful! Stunning! There are really no words to describe the beauty and the vitality of this place. I’d love to go back and see it again (of course, I am afraid to see how much it might’ve changed!)

Dirty horrible city, but amazing and vibrant. A love and hate relationship for me if there ever was one!

Was there for an afternoon, a gloomy dark afternoon after a long trip. Visited the Olympic stadium and the museums around it, spent about 2-3 hours in the city. The architecture was beautiful but the parking…!
