and i’ll get to see an old friend!

okay, lissa, you’re not old, but a long time friend!

i will be going in april for a conference, so i guess i’ll see what it’s like!

a couple of us walked over one night to see it. (it’s illuminated beautifully at night.) i always feel a little morbid, like i’m gawking at these things, and so it was a little uncomfortable in that regard. the little chairs were quite upsetting; i was glad it was night.

i’ve received three of my four postcards from postcrossing.com from finland so far. gotta say, it looks beautiful! plus, i just read an article in a magazine about how much the people there love music—how bad could it be?

grab a couple of cold beers, get some extra sunscreen, and leave your bathing suit at home to go to orient beach. because god knows, the only way i’d go to a nude beach is to leave my native country!!!!

the day i was there there seemed to be a large number of naked british pensioners there, too. it was not the nude beach experience i was mentally geared up for!

to swim in mosquito bay on vieques and to visit aricebo on the main island…

people there were very nice, and genuine. a good sized city with enough to do, but not out of control huge.

like, not for work…

i think l.a. and i just need to agree to disagree and go our separate ways and forget that we ever met each other.

my trip here was one disaster after another. i think i need to give indiana another chance, but there are other places i think i’ll try first…
