had a whirlwind trip to LA to see tmbg a few years ago. good show. the boy got sick during the show and we had to leave a lil early. it turned out okay, as we got out quickly and back to our hotel.

seeing mandi and jay and brutus
seeing percy and ella
seeing the canyon and crying
drinking and smoking and playing cranium
eating buffalo
singing cowtown on the way to tucson.

it’s safe. even in the city it’s relatively quiet. it just needs more grocery stores downtown.

we travelled there just a few weeks before 9/11. it seems like a dream. having hated disney for a long time i was not looking forward to the park, just to the mini vacation his conference afforded me. but everything changed when i saw the ball. we came up on the bus and i saw the large geodesic ball and i started crying. it was uncontrollable. i had stepped into a piece of my desired childhood and gone on the vacation to disney that we never did as a family. it was wonderful.
