over 4 years agoI went up Sunday afternoon to see my dad’s girlfriend’s daughter, an IU alumni and a current resident there. She moved away but came back because she loves it there— and I can’t blame her. It’s such a cool place. We saw the Subway where Jared lost all that weight, had an incredible vegetarian brunch at Roots, toured the campus, had peanut butter smoothies (!) at Soma, then ate dinner at a Tibetan restaurant owned by the Dalai Lama’s brother! I can’t say I’ve done so many awesome things in one day… and the great thing is… we walked everywhere! I hate cars and I really enjoyed walking around, enjoying the sights….
over 4 years agoMany things have drawn me to this place. For one, my mother tells me it’s a beautiful place. She says the mountains there are snowcapped even in the summer, and I can’t even imagine how amazing that must be to see with your own eyes. Also, I’ve heard great things about the city itself. I live in a small town, not exactly what I’d call a conducive atmosphere, and from the looks of it Boulder is exactly where I need to be. To top things off I’m REALLY in love with the University of Colorado (or at least it sounds terrific) and I’ll get to see it ALL when I go there this summer!
