before and shortly after it opened. It was cool to be ‘behind the scenes’ and see it all come together. It’s been years since I’ve been there, but will stop by this fall when in Minnesota to see friends. I’m sure it’s changed a lot over the years.

One must see the sights. Gatlinburg is a great walking town. Park at one end and walk and explore all the shops. There’s much traffic and people, but it’s just part of the experience. Pigeon Forge follows Gatlinburg and is the home of Dollywood;) Enjoy it for what it is.

It’s a great town to walk around and explore all the shops. Very artsy feel and some very unique items to be found.

Home of Garden of the Gods…beautiful stuff.

I love the lushness of this area. Everything so green and fertile. It always struck me as if man and nature were warring and nature seemed to have the upper hand.

There is so much to see and do while there. Close to tubing, rafting, kayak/canoe etc., camping, horseback riding, biking trails, some waterfalls, etc. And for those who’d rather be shopping…send them off to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge.

I prefer the natural beauty and recommend exploring Cades Cove. What truly breathtaking sights!

When living in Minnesota, a friend and I decided to take a road trip to Ann Arbor. What a beautiful place. We didn’t stay long, but I’d definitely go back.

This was my freshman year Spring break trip with the choir. It was a great time and even started us saying Soda instead of POP because of the locals there. This is also where we got the Padre Naked t-shirts that appalled our parents:) The down side? We were on a bus for over 36 hours…which sucks no matter how one looks at it;) Much more fun on the way there as opposed to the way home with everyone sunburnt and cranky.

living in California, we went to Disneyland several times. I really enjoyed it, althouth our favorite was Six Flags Magic Mountain.

I’d rather go to Salem in general rather than specifically to the museum. However, if I make it to Salem, I’ll probably check this out as well. Just didn’t want it taking up space on my list;)

Ok…if you’re ever in Nashville…it’s worth the time to stop at Centennial Park to see the replica of the Greek Parthenon and the 42 foot statue of Athena. I have to say it was best the first time I saw it (1998)...cuz she was just ‘plaster’ color. The last time I went, they’d painted her and made her look…quite frankly…like a slut.

But…still amazing to walk in and have to look up to see her in all her splendor!
