Coba, Quintana Roo

Beautiful Mayan Ruins

The Mayan ruins of Coba are surrounded by lush jungle forest. My husband and I climbed to the top of a pyramid where we met two great Mayan guys, one of which was a wood sculptor. He took us back to his woodworking studio in the town of Coba where he showed us his beautiful carvings. We had a great time in Coba!

Lake Vallecito, Durango

We had a blast here!

My husband and I stayed in a little log cabin on Lake Vallecito, and we absolutely loved it. We went for a horseback ride through the forest, and saw some beautiful scenery, and wildlife. We also enjoyed just sitting on our porch feeding peanuts to the chipmunks!

Georgetown, Colorado

Untitled

My husband and I took a tour of a mine in Georgetown, and also went on a scenic rail ride. It has been many years since I’ve been there, but I remember the town had a cool, old-timey, Western vibe, complete with a saloon and everything.
