Most Beautiful Country out of 20

I have been to around 20 countries and this one is the most gorgeuos. Landscapes, plant life, nightlife, town life, mediteranean feel, food, nice people, cheap, growing economy, interesting history, civil war remnants… the list goes on.
Even with a language barrier, I still was able to interact with some locals there. We slept in random houses with vistas and rooms of space for 10-40 USD per night. We rented a car and drove across the entire country. The highlights of this land were Plitvice lakes, and Dubrovnik.
GO THERE. DONT HESITATE. YOU WILL NOT SEE ANYTHING MORE BREATHTAKING!

Eat the pyramids

The pyramids were not the highlight of my trip to Egypt. It was everyday life around me. Culture shock. A religious-based people that wake up at 4am to yell out prayers, thousands of people at a time. A semi corrupt government that says its a democracy. The extremly nice people and the few extremely bad ones who mar the lands appearence.
If you want to see the world, understand how others live, how far behind and mixed up this world of ours is, without going to a complete 3rd world country….goto Egypt. Far behind is not necessarily a bad thing either. The Muslim people seem to intentionally be a more slowly changing society than western societies. This provides conflict, but at the same time it provide existential beauty to the world.

Portland, the city that loves to be weird

I visited this state for about 1.5 weeks and had the time of my life. I went on a business trip (my first one ever). Business was in Portland for the first 4 days, then my gf flew out and we toured the scenary 50 miles around the city (The Columbia River Gorge, Mount Hood), then drove a rental car to the beach, and even hooked up with a Highschool friend on half chance.
The state is liberal and environmental in thought. At the same time, drug use and family structures seemed to be a little too loose. Im not complaining though. Everyone there is SOOO NICE. You can talk to anyone you pass and have a conversation. It is very different than what I am used to on the East coast and I really enjoyed it for the people, scenary and fresh air.

Family in North Cali

All of my extended family is in Middle or Northern California. I have been there many times as a kid and teenager. I want to go back again sometime soon.
There are really pretty landscapes, a variety of people and areas, great nature stuff. I wonder what city life is like in California.

Yaks in Canoes!

Ok ok, so we dont have Yaks in canoes in Maryland. But Maryland is my home state and I really do love it. I have been around the world, to dozens of other states and I may have a bias…but Maryland is really balanced…a little of everything.
It is the old line state. It seperated the south from the north in the civil war. Our weather is inbetweeny and wacky (which I like at times), not too cold, not too hot. There is HUGE diversity of humans here from every descent. DC and Baltimore are a literal mixing pot of cultures. Technology and business hot spots are abound. Two metro areas within an hour, along with farm land and moutains in another hours reach. Pretty Chesapeake Bay, beach front properties, mountainous resorts, night life, you name it. EVERYTHING!
Come visit and feel free to ask me about MD!

My hometown

This city may have a reputation of being run-down or dangerous, but it’s really a great city. Not the best mind you, but still WORTH visiting. The Inner harbor alone has so much stuff to see and do that you could spend a non-stop week down there. The aquarium, orioles stadium, ravens stadium and science center are the biggest attractions. The aqurium just added an entire new 5 story exhibit, the australian outback. I really want to go again. Camden Yards is one of the prettiest baseball parks on the east coast.
If you got any questions about the area, lemme know!
