Folly Beach, Charleston

It's quite pretty.

The sand is soft, though it’s brown which is a little weird if you’re used to white sandy beaches. I certainly wasn’t prepared for it. The water is brown too, and you can’t see what you’re stepping on or in. There is a lot of cool stuff you can find on the beach and in the water though. Sand Dollars are abundant. Once, I saw a pod of dolphin playing in the surf just off of the coast line. It was really cool to watch, even if the pictures didn’t come out because they were too far away.

Last year a new cafe opened up that had a wine store in it. The food was AWESOME.

Charleston, South Carolina

It's a really interesting city, very old school.

I like visiting Charleston. I get to do it fairly regularly. Somethings took getting used to. It’s kind of provincial incomparison to more night life oriented cities like Miami. It’s kind of slower and more easy going. Some of the best seafood restaurants I’ve ever been to are in Charleston. You can definitely get the best shrimp there, and you won’t have to mortgage your kidneys to do it.

Angelfish on James Island is wonderful.

Fairfax, Virginia

If you're in VA anyway, but I wouldn't come just for Fairfax

Well, I like it well enougb since I live here. The picture is of the nicest outdoors-y mall around here. And the Cinema De Lux is nice, even if they play the movies I want to see only half the time, and a lot less lately. There’s a Ben and Jerry’s there which is definitely good times. And you HAVE To try Caribou Coffee if you like that kind of thing. Their Campfire Mocha kicks all of the starbucks chocolate coffee drinks all together. Very cool.

There are other things in the city that are nice. Doing the Fairfax Chocolate festival will be on my list shortly.
